German Doll ~ Janelle

Janelle is 14inches tall. Her hair is of mohair yarn and is adorned with a single
curl on one side and a cluster of curls in back, with flowers strewn around her hair. She has pearl
earrings and a pearl necklace. Her bodice and sleeves are canary yellow, with lace ruffle with gold
metallic design and lace at wrists. She also has a canary yellow apron edged in lace. Her skirt is
black background with pink, green, yellow and lavender butterflies all over design with gold metallic
highlights. All the clothing is cotton or cotton blend. She carries a large bouquet of red and yellow
roses adorned with orange, blue and green streamers, tied with love knots.
Again I remind the viewers these dolls are hand made starting with a burlap base and constructed with wire,
thread, string, pins, glue and love. They are not toys and are intended to be more an ornament or a
collect-able doll, than one that a child would want to play with. The dolls could not withstand rough
handling. The skirts are starched very stiff and stand alone and do not need a doll stand I add this extra
info as these are questions I have been asked about.
